Valerie Mutton
Bio
I was called to the Ontario Bar in 1989, and practiced Family and Criminal law for fifteen years. Then I reached the magic age of forty and decided to change careers and become a freelance writer instead of buying a convertible and hiring a personal trainer named Sven.
I speak French and German and love to travel. Recent adventures have included climbing the 463 steps to the top of the Duomo in Florence; riding the Bernina Express train through the Swiss Alps; and standing at the summit of Mount Snowdon in Wales.
I live in small-town Ontario with my husband, two children, and a Giant African Land Snail named Henry (which I frequently threaten to rename “Appetizer.”) In my spare time, I work on two never-ending projects--writing my first novel, and knitting my last sweater.
